2nd Grade Teacher
Filer Elementary School
About Me
I was born and raised right here in our small beautiful town of Filer. I graduated from Filer High School. My husband, Josh (who also is a Filer graduate), and I chose to start our family here in Filer and we now have 3 amazing boys. I have a love for spending time with my family and friends. I love the outdoors, reading, cooking, watching sports and playing board/card games. I also have a love for a particular NFL team. I'll just say this: Go Pack Go! Thanks to my 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Denton, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. While I stayed home with my boys, I continued to work on my education. I graduated from CSI with my associates degree in Education in 2013. After my youngest son turned 1, I went on through WGU (Western Governors University) to graduate with my Bachelors degree in 2017. My hope as a teacher is to create a positive learning environment for every student that walks into my classroom. I believe in the impact that I make now will make a difference in their young lives. Perhaps inspire them just like my second grade teacher did many years ago. This is my 7th school year teaching here in the Filer School District and I can't imagine being anywhere else!
