My name is Jake Oyler. I grew up in Filer and graduated from Filer High School. After that, I went to Weber State in Ogden, Utah and I studied Physical Education Teaching and minored in Health. My plan was to always eventually come back to Filer to teach. I spent my student teaching time here at Filer Middle School under Matt Lassen in 2019. I married my wife in June of 2019. She then got accepted into a Masters program at ISU, so we moved to Pocatello. I got lucky to get my first teaching Job at Marsh Valley Middle School teaching P.E. and Health for my first two years of teaching. After those two years, the P.E. job here at the Middle School opened up and I feel very fortunate to have gotten hired on here at the Middle School. I am very happy to be back here in my hometown doing what I love.
