I grew up south of Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School. Then, earned an Associate’s degree in Accounting from CSI and a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from BSU. I moved to Gooding to work for an accounting firm, where I audited school districts and prepared taxes. I started my family in Gooding and shortly, thereafter, moved to Castleford to be closer to family. After a few years as a stay at home mom, I switched careers and worked as a paraprofessional. I returned to school and worked through an alternate route to earn my K - 8 Teaching Certificate. My first year of teaching was with a combined Kindergarten and 1st Grade class. The following year, I started teaching first grade at Castleford Elementary and continued for 13 years. Fortunately, the Castleford School District allowed me to be part of many administrative activities which encouraged me to further my career. I graduated from Western Governors University in 2019 with a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and obtained my Pre K - 12 Administrative Endorsement. I have been at Filer Elementary School since August 2022. I continue to live in Castleford and have twin daughters who are now starting their own adult lives with college and new careers! I enjoy the outdoors, especially during the warm months! I like to travel, play golf (I am not good!), and hanging out with my family and friends. When I am not working you might find me enjoying Jeep therapy!
