About Me
I’d like to share a few things about me, both professionally and personally, as I am looking forward to this opportunity of learning with you and your child! I taught 5th grade from 2008-2019, then I taught 7th grade ELA until 2023, and now I am teaching Science! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, and a Master’s in Education. Teaching is more than a job to me. It is my career, and a commitment I take very seriously. My mission is to dedicate myself in helping your child reach his/her full potential. Just as I have high expectations for myself, I have high expectations for your child and I will do all I can to help him/her to meet those expectations. I am very passionate about teaching children in a meaningful way, and believe that every child can learn and be inspired to love learning. As a teacher, I have the responsibility to maintain a healthy and respectful learning environment in which students feel safe and appreciated. Different students have different needs, but all children need engaging and diverse learning opportunities, structure, and routine. Personally, I am a mother of three beautiful girls, a great young man, and two grandsons. My family is very important to me, and I value our time together. I take my responsibility of educating students very seriously, and look forward to your input and collaboration to make this new adventure incredible! I come from a family of educators dedicated to making a difference in our youth, but I know this is a team effort! Thank you for all you do, and thank you for sharing and entrusting your students to me on our new adventures!
